Since 2005, ROAM has met almost every year in Europe or North America, usually alongside a major migrant or perinatal health or epidemiology conference, and the collaboration has grown now to include researchers from sixteen countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the USA.

These 1 or 2-day meetings serve various purposes, such as to:

• engage in collaborative work

• identify new areas of research and practice

• develop joint grant proposals

• networking
